What The …? – the next 4/40 Event

If you are in Ottawa, we would like you to join us on Wednesday, April 25 at 11:30 a.m. at Constitution Square III for the next 4/40 event.

Four months into the year and you are 9 out of 10 on performance goals. “Frank” isn’t in the room, you are eating frogs everyday, your Goal Getter™ Gang is rockin’ and you have a handle on the symptoms.

And if any part of that paragraph makes you say “What The …?”, then you must have missed one of my previous 4/40 events over the last few months. That’s okay, because on Wednesday, April 25th, we are going to recap several key tips and techniques for creating business (and personal) success.

Whether you manage a huge team or simply yourself, don’t miss this valuable opportunity (again)!

But Be Warned – There are reasons I am  known as being “kickass” and I know that the best way to help adults get rid of limiting beliefs and bad habits is to make them a little uncomfortable for a while. Don’t be surprised if you want to leave the event, but stick around and you won’t regret it. I promise and guarantee!

Nancy Morris, an internationally recognized specialist in business psychology and behavior change, is a champion of the benefits of ‘microlearning’. Her 4/40 events deliver a succinct and powerful “4 hour seminar in 40 minutes.”

April Fools’ – the myths and misnomers about success in business

If you are in Ottawa, we would like you to join us on Wednesday, April 4 at 11:30 a.m. at Constitution Square III for the next 4/40 event.

There is a lot of BS out there on what makes a business person successful. The truth of the matter is there are just 3 simple principles that, once understood, will make or break your efforts to achieve success.

Be warned – these principles are not “secrets”. It is likely you already know them. But if you are not where you want to be, you are probably not using them and that is playing a part in your frustration, discouragement and stress.

Leave this seminar knowing what these 3 principles are AND how to change current habits and behaviors to position your business on their foundations.

No fluff, no B.S., no “secrets” …. just straight-up fact and actionable information, all in just 40 minutes.

“I now feel so focused and in control. Thank you”
(Nicola Rondel, Lawyer)“

And she kicked ass for half an hour with so much
humor and compassion, 24 hours later, I still feel uplifted and in the groove.”
(Arvind Devalia, Entrepreneur)

“You chucked the oars into my rowboat and insisted that I paddle.
Excuses weren’t an option and I’m now sailing along nicely!”
(Lorriane George, sports coach)

The Efficacy of Microlearning Part I

By specializing in microlearning, I have made a very conscious choice to abandon old and outdated ways of delivering learning content to organizations and the adults within them. In my 20+ years in being involved in educating adults, it wasn’t until I began using, studying and then implementing microlearning and microcontent (in both live and…

Key To Failure

There has been some angst in the house for the past few weeks. I think I know what it is all about … teenagers wanting more independence, marital spats, winter weather keeping us indoors more, stepkids moving in full time, and so on. But my own internal angst has been a bit harder to define….

Goal Achievement
  1. Re-state your “outcome” goal as a series of “performance” goals. State them positively – things you are going to do as opposed to things you are not going to do.
  2. Picture the achievement of your goal and even plan how you will celebrate.
  3. Think hard about your level of commitment. Determine how you will make time for your goal.
  4. Determine what you will need to let go of to make room for your goal, what habits you will have to change and what new things you will need to start doing.
  5. Share your goals with others. Cultivate your own support team.
  6. Assess and measure your progress daily and weekly.
  7. Adjust your activity if things are not working.
