“Nothing More Than Feelings”

What are you feeling, right now, this second?

I’m not asking what you’re doing or thinking, I’m asking what you’re feeling!

Are you bored? Tired? Energized? Excited? Maybe you’re a little confused or afraid? Maybe you’re feeling light-hearted and lively. Or you’re fed-up, frustrated, joyful or calm.

During our day, we tend to whiz through the time focusing on what we’re doing. Or we spend a lot of time thinking, or thinking about thinking.

But, particularly at work, we spend very little time being aware of our feelings, yet our feelings contribute a lot to our actions.

Action – I’m not suggesting you sit around navel-gazing. But, by checking your emotions on a regular basis – say every hour or so – you are more likely to make great choices and take more effective actions.

It’s not only about what we think and do but also what we feel that matters.
